Program Semester Scheme & Eligibility Criteria is given below:

The PhD English Literature program is a rigorous full-time program designed to cultivate research expertise in doctoral candidates. The program prioritizes honing research skills to produce high-level scholarship and literary criticism. Students engage in a comprehensive curriculum, gaining in-depth knowledge within their chosen specialization while exploring diverse literary periods, genres, and theoretical frameworks. This program adheres to the latest Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (HEC) curriculum guidelines, ensuring a nationally recognized and academically demanding experience that prepares graduates to become leading researchers and experts in English literature.

Program Objective:

The key aims and objectives of the PhD English programme are to:

  • Equip the scholars with the theoretical and practical knowledge of research and advanced concepts in their chosen field to enable them to become experts in the selected areas.
  • Enable the scholars to pursue independent research in their fields.
  • Enable the scholars to supervise research work in their areas.
Criteria:
  • MS/MPhil degree in English (Linguistics/Literature) with a minimum 3.0/4.0 CGPA.
  • NTS GAT Subject, ETC HAT & GRE or University Entry Test (with a minimum 70% cumulative score)
