The Department of Nursing at Alhamd Islamic University, Islamabad organized a memorable and engaging event to celebrate International Nurses Day, honoring the dedication, compassion, and invaluable contributions of nurses in the healthcare profession. The event reflected the spirit of care, commitment, and professional excellence demonstrated by nurses around the world.
The ceremony began on a spiritual note with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Mubashir, followed by a beautiful and heart-touching Naat presented by Barera Muhib, creating an inspiring atmosphere for the audience.
The event featured a variety of informative and interactive segments conducted by the students of the Department of Nursing. Nisha Gill delivered an impressive English speech highlighting the significance of nursing and the vital role nurses play in patient care and community health. Adding further meaning to the occasion, Barera Muhib also presented poetry dedicated to the nursing profession, which was highly appreciated by the audience.
To showcase practical healthcare knowledge and professional skills, Asif Ali and his team performed a role-play demonstration on Therapeutic Communication with Patients, emphasizing the importance of empathy, communication, and professionalism in patient care. In another engaging segment, Muhsin and his team conducted a live CPR demonstration, providing students with awareness regarding emergency response techniques and life-saving procedures.
The program continued with an energetic and motivational Urdu speech by Ammadullah, which added enthusiasm and confidence among the participants and audience members.
Faculty members and university administration appreciated the remarkable efforts of the students throughout the event. Mam Uzma Naheed encouraged the students with motivational words, saying, “Keep growing up, I’m with you,” which greatly boosted the confidence and morale of the participants.
