AL HAMD Islamic University (AIU) is conceived by AL HAMD Educational Society (AES), which is established and registered as non profitable organization with the vision of Promoting Education from grass root to higher level. The Al-Hamd Educational Society is already operating number of educational institutions like Balochistan Institute of Technology, Dar e Arqam School of Islam and Modern Sciences and Al-Hamd Schools of Islam & Modern Sciences. Moreover the society has also established commercial Software Development and IT Consultancy Firm namely BITSOFT and the Islamic Research Organization the Quran Research Academy (QUA)

Al-Hamd Islamic University is a chartered by the Provincial Assembly of Government of Balochistan under Act II of 2005. It is also recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and is the first private sector Islamic University of Pakistan.
