DIPLOMA IN COMMERCE

 

OBJECTIVES OF DIPLOMA IN COMMERCE:

 

Objectives of Diploma in Commerce in AIU are to,

 

Ø  Understand the Commerce and Business

Ø  acquire professional knowledge and skills accounting and its types.

Ø  Enable them to prepare financial statements.

Ø  Come to know about operational Budgeting.

Ø  Develop the skills of managing budgeting forecast.

Ø  Administer the Accounts payable and Accounts receivables.

Ø  Establish and maintain Accounting information system.

Ø  Come to know-how to implement internal control system.

Ø  Analyze and solve problems.

Ø  Enhance knowledge about auditing and Taxation processes and their principles.

 

CREDIT HOURS:  

                        DIM and DIF contains 30 credit hours i ( 3 credit hours per course in one week) respectively.

 

TIME REQUIRED:

                          DIM and DIF both programmers are for one year.

 

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

 

      Candidates having at least 50% marks in intermediate for any of the following fields are eligible to apply:

Ø  Commerce

Ø  Medical science

Ø  Computer science

Ø  Or equivalent.

 

FIRST SEMESTER:

3	Business finance.
4	Financial Accounting.
5	Managerial Accounting-1.

SECOND SEMESTER:

1	Auditing.
2	Business Taxation.
3	Managerial Accounting-2
4	Financial Statement Analysis.
5	Advanced Accounting.
